When I book, which studio do I get?

Whichever one you’d like! Depending on availability, of course. We offer both studios as individual rentals, or you can book them together. (P.S… they share a wall!) Please note that if you book one studio, you will only have access to that individual studio.

Why are they different prices?

While both studios share the same square footage, we offer more curated and ready-to-go design in Studio de Luz. (Not to mention – props!) In Luz, the set design is already done for you. Alternatively, Sombra is a starting point for how you want to create your shoot.

What’s the difference between the two?

Both Luz and Sombra get incredible natural light with the same peak times. The difference between the two is that Luz is a lifestyle studio, completely furnished with an array of decor for you to choose from.

On the other side (literally), Sombra is our blank slate space: seamless backdrops, more open room, and better equipped for production or event purposes. While Luz has more of a natural + earthy tone, Sombra is more minimalist and contrasting.

Can I move things in between both studios?

For the reasons listed above, no. While they are both sister studios under Nosso, Luz & Sombra are different spaces with different offerings – and thus, different price points. As such, it wouldn’t be fair to allow guests to use amenities that are not included in their selected rental studio. The only exception to this rule is if you book both spaces at the same time for a duration of 4+ hours, so long as you put everything back in it’s original place after.
